Pulaski County Drug Treatment Court
The Pulaski County Superior Court’s Drug Treatment Court (PCDTC) was created in 2025 to provide an alternative to traditional case processing for persons charged with crimes relating to illicit substances and substance abuse and gained full certification in 2024 . This voluntary, 12-to-36–month program targets non-violent misdemeanor and felony-drug offenders who, as PCDTC participants, are supervised intensively through all of the phases that must be achieved in order for the participant to progress through the program. In many cases, successful completion of PCDTC will result in: (1) a sentence reduction your case, e.g., no jail time or no probation; or (2) a reduction or dismissal of the original charge.
Mission
The mission of the Pulaski County Drug Treatment Court (PCDTC) is to reduce repeated drug criminal activity through intensive and consistent drug programming and supervisor as a means of support and encouragement in helping participants continue with addiction recovery, grow as a person, and to become an activity and purposeful citizen.
Referral Process
Offenders may be referred to the PCDTC by a judge, defense attorney, probation officer, or family member; jail staff; self-referral; or the prosecutor. The referral is reviewed by the prosecutor prior to full application. The referral process (step 1) and application process (step 2) takes anywhere from two weeks to four weeks. The PCDTC coordinator will contact the applicant directly and/or work with the applicant’s attorney through the referral/application process. The referral form must be completed in their entirety in order to be reviewed.
The PCDTC application is available online here.
