Highway Department

The Pulaski County Highway Department (Highway) is responsible for all roads, bridges and small structures (less than 20 ft span) within Pulaski County that are neither state highways nor within the corporate limits of a town.

Highway is responsible for more than 885 miles of roadways and rights-of-way that the County Commissioners have accepted into the road inventory. In addition to maintaining roads, Highway employees pick up trash, clear away dead animals, trim trees, cut brush, mow roadsides, maintain County culverts, replace road signs, work on drainage issues, and perform other necessary tasks need to keep the roads safe for all who travel in or through Pulaski County.

While they are making sure that you have good roads on which to drive, please make sure that they have safe roads to work on by paying attention when you see Highway equipment and employees at work.
